First year of orchestra!
Students should rent their instrument in August for home practice.
Students begin learning with their parents by getting acquainted with their chosen instrument during two evening classes in the style of Suzuki.
All 5th grade students have two morning rehearsals per week.
Parent Involvement
Parents play a vital role in launching their children’s orchestral journey by joining in two evening lessons in the style of Suzuki.
Parents are encouraged to take their students to major concerts at the High School throughout the year.
Parents are key to establishing good practice habits at home.
Performances
The 5th grade orchestra will perform 2 concerts during the school year.
Advanced Students
Advanced students, students with prior experience and approval of their instructor, can attend a separate advanced sectional class.
