The 7th-8th graders serve as role models for the elementary school students and perform at the elementary schools. In 7th and 8th grades, orchestra provides even more performance opportunities than before as well as field trips and festival participation!
Students are encouraged to attend the major concerts at the High School throughout the year.
Further information on logistics, uniform, instrument rental, calendar, and academic outcomes for each year will be communicated by instructors in the first few weeks of school.
Performances
The 7th-8th grade orchestra will perform 6 principal concerts plus more casual performances during the school year.
Competitions
Orchestra students can participate in Solo & Ensemble competition, as well as the Junior All State competition.
Advanced Students
Advanced students, students with prior experience and private lessons, have the opportunity to perform solos with the full orchestra and in small ensembles.
