Now at the middle school, orchestra students attend class during the regular school day.
Students who decide to change their instrument or students new to the orchestra this year are given catch-up instruction by Mercer Island Orchestra instructors, coaches, and community volunteers.
Students are encouraged to attend the major concerts at the High School throughout the year.
The 6th grade orchestra will perform 4 principal concerts during the school year.
